One day in August of 2026, I found myself working on three novels at once. I wanted a solution that would help with my writer's block, keep my stories straight, and provide flexible publishing options.
After trying a few services, I realized that it would be more fun and fulfilling to write my own. And so I did. A week later, I had a private beta running.
I also wanted a system for making it easier to share my drafts with friends for feedback and encouragement. That was the genesis of Unblockifier for Readers. Somewhere along the way, it migrated into its own platform where authors can choose to publish just for particular readers, or for anybody who's a member of the Readers platform.
Some writing platforms are built around facilitating having an AI write your book for you. I understand the appeal, but that's not what I wanted to do. I have found, however, that AI has been good at providing feedback, helping me keep my characters, locations and timelines straight, and reviewing for continuity, historical accuracy, and a dozen other things. So, I've built these tools into Unblockifier for Writers. They'll scan your work for story elements, craft short synopses, and answer questions when asked, but they won't write your prose for you, even if you ask nicely.
